The Salinas Education Center invites you to help create successful communities.
Become a TUTOR!
Tutors can be either current students themselves or volunteers. Tutor candidates receive assessments
of skills and are trained to help teachers by working with individual students under the teacher's direction.
Tutors target individual students' needs for extra help and support in their studies.
The personal rewards for
tutoring are great: personal satisfaction, a sense of truly helping another person and contributing to the success of
education for a stronger community, and improving your own skills in reading, writing and math. Tutoring students also receive Instructional Aide test preparation.
