NOTE: The Parent Center's summer program is limited due to budget cuts.

NEW! Parent Education Distance Learning
What is distance learning? Distance learning allows you to expand your knowledge at home and contact a Salinas Adult School Parent Educator via email, phone or online. You receive individual instruction, set your own pace.
Topic: Without Spanking or Spoiling
A practical approach to toddler and preschool guidance through age 10. Learn to set guidelines for effective consequences, over 150 ideas for overcoming common behavior problems, overflows with helpful examples and exercise and positive discipline. Allows you to learn child guidance based on your child's temperament and your family values.

Childbirth Preparation Classes at SVMHS
A 5 session or 2 day condensed Lamaze childbirth class to prepare for labor, birth and the newborn. Saturdays, June 13 and 20

Sibling Class
"My mom is having a baby!"

Prepares parents and their children 2.5 to 10 years for a new baby in the family. Class held at SVMH.

DO YOU NEED QUALITY CHILD CARE?
The childcare cooperative is open to children two years & nine months to eight years of age. Parent participation is requested monthly. Our childcare program, accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, provides Parents As Teacher (P.A.T.) services. The environment and activities are especially designed to meet the needs of young children. AM and PM blocks available. Hourly scheduling for onsite Salinas Adult School students.

Only $10. this year thanks to support from the Mental Health Services Act through Monterey County Behavioral Health.
