G.E.D.® and High School Diploma
At Salinas Adult School, we offer all required classes, plus GED® test preparation and testing
services. Now is the time!
Graduate from high school and open up your future to better employment! We'll help you
gather and calculate your credits from whatever schools you've attended previously.

INTRODUCTION COURSE
for Incoming G.E.D.® and High School Diploma students:
Required for all new students. Call 796-6930 if you need asssitance.
Register online, or in person at the school during the hours shown above.
Before beginning your G.E.D.® or High School Diploma classes, you must complete an
Introduction course. Students must attend and complete the entire week of Introduction before
being placed into class. Students are urged NOT to begin the Introduction until they can
complete the entire week. Dates and times that Introduction is offered are listed below.
You must be 18 or over to register.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Only register for a section that you can attend.
2. You are required to bring with you a pencil and pen.
You will need to purchase a student ID card which costs $5.00.
3. Children are not allowed to attend class with you.
4. It is required that you complete all hours of the section you registered for, before you
can be placed into class.

TYPING SPEED CERTIFICATION
The Salinas Adult School offers a timed typing speed test to the public.
The tests are free. If you would like a certificate to show your word-per-minute score, the fee
is $5—cash only (and exact change, please)— payable
after completing the tests. You must present a picture ID to be able to test.

Moving Up With MATH!
Instruction is available in Algebra Readiness (Pre-Algebra), Algebra, and Geometry. Requirements: 8 hours of weekly attendance, Refundable textbook deposit. High school math credits available. Register in person.
Registration in person in the ED department any day at 10:00am Mondays through Fridays
Class Hours: M-F, 8:00am to 12:00pm, T-TH, 6:00 to 9:00pm

SUMMER AFTER-SCHOOL CREDIT EDUCATION A.C.E.
After-school program for full-time high school students who have completed their first semester
of ninth grade. It is only for those who need to make up required high school courses that were
not passed. Classes will be held only at the Salinas Adult School, no home school classes.
Students must be enrolled in summer school in order to enroll in ACE summer session. See your high
school counselor for more details.
